Founded in 2018, Turing Insights (Pty) Ltd, named after Alan Turing, widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan Turing, is a collaboration between the Tip Trans Group and Simplus Innovation (Pty) Ltd.

Tip Trans & Simplus initially set out to develop an application to manage a transport business / fleet, but very early on realised that in order to achieve this objective, it is paramount to resolve the challenge of accurate bulk weight in motion, in real time.

Turing engaged with a group of potential hardware suppliers in line with the Turing objective, which resulted in a successful partnership with an multi-national company, specialising in on-board weight management solutions over the past 25 years.

Simplus developed a software analytics solution to ensure compliance to the national weighbridge requirements, while generating alerts pertaining to the loading, transport and off-loading of bulk loads in real time.

Turing Insights delivers a transparent chain of custody of payloads, as well as other business information and reports to the consignor, consignee and transporter of the payloads.
