Payload problems with transport overloading and underloading can be solved.

Payload problems with transport overloading and underloading can be solved with the help of Turing Insight’s combined solution of onboard hardware and data analytics software.

WHAT IS PAYLOAD?

Simply defined, payload represents a vehicle’s load-bearing capability, or a vehicle’s total cargo and passenger weight.

Tandem Side Tipper is a combination truck with a tandem axle. It is a sturdy and powerful offering with a capacity of 22 /22 m³ thanks to its bins. Its TARE is approximately 20 tons while its payload capacity is 36 000kg.

The 22/22m³ Tandem’s chassis is a high-quality hi-tensile steel offering with its I-beam welded aspects and 30 oak flatbars as well as both 5mm and 6mm stiffeners and flanges.

For example, a payload capacity of 36 tons means that the total weight of the passengers and the cargo inside of the cabin as well as in the truck bed must stay below that number.

But that’s not all: you must add in the weight of the fluids, including gas, and the tongue weight of the trailer you’re pulling — so you can see how quickly payload capacity can be reached.

Many vehicles are struggling to reach their optimal payload, because of inefficient loading.

This leaves room for loss of revenue per load due to underloading or loss due to fines because of overloading.

Turing Insights‘ Solution

If you had a look at our sneak peek video we are working towards adding a LED display scale, along with sirens on the outside of all our vehicles attached to the readings of the onboard scale.

This will ease loading and unloading at every point of operations. The driver and the operator will always have a clear idea of load capacity.

Thus assuring optimal loading effectiveness and efficiency and greater returns.
